When there is something about an animal that captures my heart, it's that connection that I try to illustrate in my portraits. I am inspired by nature and try to celebrate what is extraordinary in every animal or bird that I paint. My fairly realistic portraits are set on abstract backgrounds, utilizing color and texture to help tell their story.
