Jeff Peirson

Jeff Peirson grew up in Eastville on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. He moved away to Charlottesville for a degree in Computer Science at the University of Virginia, then left for Northern Virginia and later to Cary, NC where his daytime career is in software engineering.

In 2020, while stuck at home during the pandemic, he bought a couple of tools and tried making a few wooden charcuterie boards. After some trial and error, he found it to be a great creative outlet - a physically creative side hobby to his virtually creative day job.

He now lives in Cary, NC, and frequently comes back to his childhood home on the Shore to visit his family. He primarily makes small wood crafts - charcuterie boards, cutting boards, etc. - experimenting with mixing different wood species, designs, and inlays, sometimes including metal, epoxy, sand, and other materials. He also makes his own small furniture, and refinishes the occasional vintage furniture.
