Gertraud Fendler
For over 30 years I lived in New York City and worked as professional photographer. My job required me to create images consistent with the visions of my clients.
Now, living in a quiet community on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, I enjoy the freedom of creating images of my own vision. Recently, I have expanded my creative quest to include designing and making jewelry with sea glass pieces I find while spending endless hours combing the beaches.
This has become extremely addictive. The treasure hunt, then the making of these little gems into wearable art. I carefully wrap them with jewelry wire, sometimes using beads, pearls and other embellishments.
Each piece is unique ...... one of a kind. There never are two identical pieces. Locally, my work can be found in fine galleries throughout the Eastern Shore.
