Brenda Wright
Virginia native Brenda Wright has been active in the Tidewater art scene since the mid 1970’s. She is the owner of Shooting Star Gallery & Framing, which was located in Suffolk for over 20 years, and also served as Board President for the Cultural Alliance of Greater Hampton Roads, the Suffolk Art League and the Rawls Museum. She has shown in regional and national museums and galleries as well as abroad.
Primarily know as a photographic artist she also creates a line of upcycled crafts that include whimsical cork ornaments and cuffs made from leather belts and neckties found in thrift stores or donated by friends.
Currently living on the Eastern Shore, Brenda continues her custom conservation framing work at Shooting Star Studio. She and Nancy Kinzinger, of Noisy Crow Studio, were featured artists on the Artisans Guild’s Eastern Shore of Virginia Holiday Tour in 2021.
